This girl's were particularly interesting, more dystopian-y.. Born in 1928, grew up in Tokyo, she went to fashion school where she was introduced to a traditional Japanese collage style, and then to Max Ernst's collages. Then, in 1953, she held her own exhibition, which included 50 or so collages (below are a few off Google).
After marrying in 1957 her collage production ceased, and it was only until 2000, aged 72 that she held 'Okanoue Toshiko Photo Collage: Droplets of Dreams' at the Dai-Ichi Mutual Insurance South Gallery in Tokyo.
